Andrew Buchan (The Sinkingof the Laconia, Cranford) stars as William Garrow, a revolutionary legal mind determined to defend the downtrodden in 18th- century England.
Based on a true story, these three complete series follow Garrow as he advocates for prisoners’ rights and pioneers the idea of innocent until proven guilty, aided by his mentor (Alun Armstrong, Little Dorrit, New Tricks) and the lovely Lady Sarah Hill (Lyndsey Marshal,Rome,Being Human, The Hours).
Winner of a Royal Television Society award for best history program, the series also stars Rupert Graves (Sherlock,The Forsyte Saga).
A favorite of critics and fans alike, Garrow’s Law aired on BBC from 2009- 11, and APT syndicatesthe series to public television stations in the U.S. The DVD 6-disc boxed set includes all twelve episodes of the series, plus three bonus featurettes (60 min. total), and more.
