Over the last year we’ve celebrated 50 years of James Bond from the men that created him to the men who became Bond. We’ve admired his style. We’ve met the people who fought by his side, the women he has loved and the villains he has fought, we’ve lusted over the cars he has driven and ogled the stunts he has performed.
If you have enjoyed learning about James Bond, you may enjoy this book: Bond On Bond: Reflections on 50 years of James Bond Movies
Bond On Bond by Sir Roger Moore about his time as Bond. The book is funny and charming with plenty of inside information whether you are a die-hard Bond fan or casual viewer.
If you are planning a visit to London, you might enjoy this self guided tour of Bond filming locations on the Amazon Kindle Store.
Also highly recommended is Everything Or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007 a fascinating documentary into the history of James Bond, Eon Productions and Ian Fleming. It’s available on Netflix, Epix, YouTube (for purchase) and Amazon Instant Video.
And of course we can recommend nothing more than to rent or buy the James Bond films and watch with your family over the holiday season – because nothing is more British at Christmas than watching a Bond film.
Just for fun, to ‘enhance’ to your viewing we have created a Bond Bingo game, which you can download here and print off. To play just watch a Bond film and mark off as you watch (we suggest chocolate gold coins) – first to get a line whether horizontal, diagonal or vertical line to wins!
Here’s to another 50 years of Bond.
Bond Trivia: ‘Orbis non sufficit’ in Latin translates to ‘The World Is Not Enough’ is revealed as the motto of the Bond family in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.
