The following is a guest post.
Anthony M R Lewis is a tour guide at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre and Kenwood House in London as well as a voice over artist with clients such as Sony and Travel Channel. He began The Lost Valley of London project this year, as a way to combine this background with his love for heritage, history and exploration.
London is a strange and wonderful place. With its millennia of history, eccentric characters and rich vein of folklore, it resembles a vast jungle of adventure… A lost world from a 1940’s adventure serial; filled with mysterious ruins, weird creatures and fantastical treasures. It seemed only natural for Anthony to assume the guise of a pulp-adventure explorer and go on safari!
The Lost Valley of London
In this video he explores the ruins of Crystal Palace in search of London’s legendary dinosaurs. Bred from the fevered mind of a Victorian naturalist; these beasts didn’t turn out quite like the dinosaurs we imagine today…
A little like ‘Indiana Jones meets Monty Python’ …And all the weirder because it’s completely true!
