Christmas Gift Ideas for Downton Abbey Fans

With only weeks to go until Christmas Day, one might wonder what to get a die hard Downton Abbey fan, particularly the U.S. contingent who have been waiting and averting their eyes at every spoiler! Well luckily, there is plenty out there for all types of personalities and price points.

1. Fashions

For the Fashionista in your life, there are some lovely 1920′s style accessories on Etsy.  Not over the top just a fun way to incorporate a little bit of that era into modern days.

2. Beauty Products

For the Beauty Product Addict, there are several DA inspired products that could make one feel as pampered as Lady Grantham.

In the UK, Marks & Spencer has their DA line:

In the US, you could purchase sweet scented items from Crabtree and Evelyn to give you a similar experience.

3. Tea Related Items

For the Tea Aficionado, I have some tasty options,

If you are in the UK, Highclere Castle carries Lady Carnarvon’s Breakfast & Afternoon Teas (only ships in EU).

In the U.S., I personally enjoy Harney & Son’s and would create a gift with some of their lovely teas.

If you want to go all out for your tea fan (and you can get to Southern California!), the Queen Mary has a fabulous experience for the Anglophile/DA fan. You can book an Afternoon Tea with a view and visit the Princess Diana Exhibition.

Personally, this book and tin of tea would be the perfect gift for me (hint, hint)!
5. For Die-Hard Fans

For the Die-hard fan, PBS has put together a delightful set. This person can watch marathons of the first 3 seasons at their leisure!

6. Cookbook

For the Cook, I would recommend “The Unofficial Downton Abbey Cookbook: From Lady Mary’s Crab Canapes to Mrs. Patmore’s Christmas Pudding” – More than 150 recipes from Upstairs and Downstairs.”  Combine this with a Christmas apron and a couple of festive rubber spatulas, and you’ve got a sweet gift for the culinary types.

7. Decorations

For the decorator, PBS and Highclere Castle have beautiful “Downton Abbey” ornaments you can give that will surely be a hit with a DA fan!

I already have this one:

8. For that someone special

For someone special, may be a budget buster if you’re outside the UK, but I highly recommend tickets to Highclere Castle to see the real Downton! The tickets are not pricey, if you can make the trip to Newbury and plan ahead. No better gift than to walk in halls and hills that the Grantham family roams in. And to enjoy a cup of tea with a breathtaking view of the grounds!

I hope this genuinely helps those looking for some gift ideas for the DA fanatics! There are many items out there for those searching out a little something for the serious fans out there. I might have to send a copy of this to my husband!

Julianne is a homemaker in Southern California with a penchant for books, baking, travel, crochet, and a nice cup of tea. On any given day, you’ll find her volunteering at her daughter’s school library or testing out a new recipe from one of her hundred or so cookbooks. She’s a bit of an Anglophile addicted to all things to do with British chick lit, BBC programming, or seeking out the perfect afternoon tea.
