Chariots of Fire Recreated in Olympic Torch Relay

June 18, 2012

An iconic scene from the Oscar-winning film “Chariots of Fire” was recreated at the same beach near St. Andrews recently, as part of the Olympic Torch Relay. Thirteen year-old Joseph Forrester carried the torch and led twenty other school children for a run down West Sands Beach.

The original film “Chariots of Fire” has been remastered and is set to be re-released in July, just in time for the 2012 Summer Olympics.  Watch Joseph Forrester’s Torch Relay run in Soctland:

To see Chariots of Fire recreated by young people was quite wonderful. We of a certain age remember it well. Very special.
