Zara Phillips, the granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II and daughter of the Princess Royal has been chosen to represent Great Britain on the Equestrian team. Once considered a long shot, she made a strong showing at last weekend’s qualifying event with her horse High Kingdom, landing a spot on the team.
Zara actually skipped the events of the Diamond Jubilee weekend to concentrate on qualifying and it looks like it paid off. I’ll be watching for her performance during the games and wishing her the best!
