Summer Is Over
I know it’s only mid-August but summer is wrapping up in my household. I’ll be taking a break from blogging for the next week or so, then I’ll be back with more posts and marvelous photos from our British holiday. Enjoy your week!

Love that photo, so cute! And no, you wouldn’t love to be by the English seaside today. Dreary.

I have a picture just like that except that it has 2 old dears sat in the deckchairs, with no-one around. I took it on a blustery day in Seaford (typical British summer) a few years ago. I’ll send it to you.
Have a good break!

Grrr – (with respect M), I hate it when people talk about the end of summer in August. We don’t go back to school till Sept 10th and I will be ignoring autumn for as long as possible.

Summer is not over until I’ve whizzed around with the top down on the car.
We’re British – the weather doesn’t matter, it’s the dates that count!
Men appear in shorts 1st March onwards regardless, women wear flip flops – rain, snow, whatever.
Ne’er cast a clout till May be out – is an old English saying meaning keep your coat on til June!
There’s loads of them – basically Summer is Summer by the dates as you never know what the weather will do – so forget it and act like it’s cracking the flags!
Happy holiday
whatever the weather!
