British Telly On The Tube
The amount of British shows now available to watch on YouTube has grown by leaps and bounds in the last year. Yeah, fine, you don’t get to watch them live or even in their entirety in one go (sometimes you have to watch it in three minute clips) but it’s better than nothing eh? In fact, some of the shows are pretty recent, which is nice. And while there are other methods for watching telly abroad, they cost money and seem like a luxury a lot of us can’t afford right now.
To get you started, I’m going to list some of the British shows that are currently available to watch on YouTube. Most of these I have watched and would recommend but this is by no means a comprehensive list. So if anyone has more to add, please comment below with your recommendations. An easy way to keep track of your favorite shows is to create a YouTube account and subscribe to their pages. The best way to search for shows is to search by the station, for instance Channel 4 and then click on Playlists. Below is a clip from one of my favorite British reality shows which I think is miles above its American copycat version, “Dancing with the Stars”. If you’re an EastEnders fan like me you might recognize the celebrity contestant.
Oh, and don’t forget to check Hulu as well. I believe they are continually expanding their selection.
