Britain’s Top Theme Parks

In a nation well-known for its reserve, one of the last things you might expect is a healthy choice of theme parks, but there is, and in tough times like these they are a welcome alternative to expensive holidays abroad. The first one that comes to mind for me is Alton Towers in Staffordshire, which was a young theme park when I lived in England and now they receive nearly three million visitors a year. Recently, Visit Britain and Yahoo posted a story on some of Britain’s top theme parks and
here are just a few:

  1. Chessington World of Adventures
  2. Legoland
  3. Thorpe Park
  4. Oakwood Theme Park
  5. Loudoun Castle Theme Park
